You know, if we want to substantially understand some important topic, we have to examine it thoroughly. We need to understand the reasons for that subject. So, what is the reason for an embryo? The material reason is the two cells combined. Right? But there is a reason of a plan, a plan reason. What is the plan of the parents with that child? It is good to have a plan for yourself and for your beloved ones. Of course, in most of the cases the kids have their own plans. They will fight for their freedom, just like you have fought for your freedom. But I think you understand – if there is a plan, a mastermind behind your conception, your life, it helps a lot.
Once I met a gypsy family. That was a very interesting encounter. One husband, six children and two wives. The man had five diplomas and a very, very enlightened vision. His principle was: because he has many children, so the duty of the two wives was to achieve that the children are not crying. Never. Such a nice expectation. And this was something very original, because the ladies every five minutes were coming up to him and said, “Give some money for this, give some money for that” and he would supply it. So, my dear brothers, don’t worry, just supply – if your partner can achieve that goal, that the children are never crying.
We had to organize a name-giving ceremony for all the children – that was the occasion. And the father was very proud of his children, he said: “They are my army. What I cannot achieve, they will achieve.” You see, such a conception! He has got a plan, as a father. So, it’s not a mistake that the children are coming. But there is a purpose behind it. If your child is conceived in dharma, he will act like a dharmic person. There is a plan, a planned reason.
The material reason we have – these are the material elements that are combined. And the active reason is the father and the mother. But what is the goal reason? For what purpose? And in that sense we have to examine ourselves. What is the reason, the purpose of my life? Did I take birth just to die? Is it the purpose of your life – to pass unnoticed? Or did you come here to have some bitter experience, some suffering? Is this the purpose of your life? Or is there something higher? We have to find the reason for our life. What is the purpose that I want to accomplish in this lifetime, in these few years? Not so much, my dear ones, not so much time you have. Just a few years!
I have to tell you, when I was a child I always messed up. I couldn’t count the years – it was just beyond my imagination how it will happen. But if you look back, it’s just stupidity – you see how much time has gone by without any significant result. 80% is gone; maybe the rest 20% will be remarkable?
So, time management, my dear ones, is very important. If we are here – it looks very real, very true that we are here. I am not 100% sure, but it looks real. And if we are here, then we have to act immediately. Don’t lose a moment. Try to find the purpose of your life, the meaning of your life. May I have an offer as to a goal of life? Like the search of beauty and love? If somebody has something higher, then I am very much ready to accept it. But I doubt that you can convince me.
So, taking birth is one classical suffering of life. As it is mentioned in the Gita, to observe, to understand that this is a problem – it’s a part of wisdom. And what is the action of an intelligent person if he faces a problem? He tries to find the solution for it. So at least we need to open the door of the cage. Give a chance to your soul to enjoy the spiritual freedom in this beautiful search and service of divine beauty and love. We cannot imagine anything higher and more charming than this ideal.
