Collected words from talks of Swami Tirtha

(from a lecture of Swami Tirtha, 07.01.2018 evening, Sofia)

(continues from the previous Friday)

Don’t forget, we started from the point ‘Show me your lover and I will tell you who you are’. So, if Radha’s lover is the Supreme Godhead who is all attractive and the most, most, most beautiful, then it tells something about the lover, about Radha.

Krishna loves all his creation, He loves everyone. But He’s got a preference. Most attention He can pay to that person who gives most happiness and most satisfaction to Him. And this is Radha. So they are eternally united. They are the ideal couple. The divine relationship, the ideal standard of divine affection is manifested in their personalities.

Try to remember that moment when you are overpowered by anger. I think we have all had such an experience when we are filled up to the brim with anger. You feel like inside your body is not water, is not air, is not bones, is not flesh; it’s only the poison of anger, fully. I think you remember that feeling. Like you are made up of anger. It’s a bitter feeling, no doubt. And when in such condition life squeezes us a little, then anger will come out, right? It will manifest.

Take an orange. If you squeeze the orange, what will come out? Orange juice, correct. If you squeeze the orange more, what will come out? Again, orange juice. And if ultimately you squeeze the orange, only orange juice will come.

So, we can conclude that the orange is made up of orange juice. Now comes the ultimate question. What is the consistency of God? What is inside Him? No, it is not anger. No, it’s not orange juice. It’s something else. The experts say that in God there is only love. Ultimately nothing else, only love. But a special type of love – love for Radha.

But then comes the next question. What is the constitution of Radha, the most beautiful girl in the village? It’s again love. The counterpart of that divine invitation, Krishna’s love – this is divine affection for Krishna. So, ‘show me whom you love and I will tell you who you are’.

Please take this message within your heart. Krishna is made up of love for Radha and Radha is made up of love for Krishna. And we are made up of love for both of them.
