This mantra om namo bhagavate vasudevaya is just like creating special spiritual atmosphere. It is just like a transfer to the spiritual sky, immediate transfer. It is a very powerful prayer. Don’t forget that Dhruva Maharaj achieved bhagavad darshan by this mantra. He got from Narada Muni this mantra and while he was chanting he met the Supreme Lord. So this is very powerful from that side. At the same time this is very important protective mantra, just like a shield. And it is tested, it protects. So whenever somebody takes part in the morning “Bhagavatam” lectures and chants this mantra, for that day, he or she is protected from all the influx of illusion and other influences.
